People ask us the time, “What ARE you?” Given that we are imploding traditional constructs and paradigms, advocating for the shifting of outmoded beliefs and ways of thinking, we are begging for that question. For having a “Label.” A word that helps us make sense of things. And therein lies the rub. The inherent duality, paradox and tension of Labels immediately appears. How can we create this communication shortcut, a “container” that certainly can be helpful in explaining/framing, etc…while simultaneously not limiting how we see, and are seen?
What We Are
So, here goes. UnLabelMe (“ULM”) is a media brand/creative studio that is using a multimedia platform to lead a grassroots social movement that integrates the intergenerational alignment of entertainment, popular culture, personal storytelling, empowerment, and social consciousness. We are a brand that celebrates the Power of Both/And.
Born on the Streets of NYC – the world’s DiverCity – we are a Platforum for both sharing, and shared, perspectives. A vehicle for enabling the celebration of diversity, as well as a sense of belonging and human connection. Regardless of our age, race, ethnicity, sexual or gender identity, or where we live, or our political affiliation. UnLabelMe is truly a “Home for Intergenerational Perspective and Wisdom.”
We are Witnesses and Perspectivizers. We seek to open up perspectives, and increase compassion, in order to destigmatize, unshame, and create pathways for a paradigm shift in consciousness around Words. Language. Labels.
What We Do

Another understandable question is, “What do you guys DO?” (What’s your GOAL? What’s your product, your commodity?)
As with any media/content creation company, it’s essential to “make money” so that we can flourish and keep the doors open, and we do that by creating, licensing, selling, distributing what we create. And, it’s bigger than that here. We believe very strongly that raising consciousness, fostering connectivity/connection, igniting essential conversations, and creating community at every touchpoint are very worthwhile products and goals.
- UnLabelMe Cureates (creates + curates) media + entertainment content in all forms – words, pictures, video, in-person events – relating to the omnipresent power and paradoxical (helpful/harmful) effects of how we label ourselves and others.
- By creating safe spaces for people to unshame and destigmatize aspects of who we are as individuals, we are supporting a paradigm shift in consciousness to help “Lower the Temperature and Raise the Vibration” at a time of unprecedented, and ever increasing, Polarization. We believe that is a worthy goal.
- By focusing on our similarities, more than our differences, ULM embraces the power of “Both/And” over “Or.” Our tagline speaks loudly: Label Me to See Me. UnLabel Me to Know We see you for how YOU want to be seen, identified, labeled. AND, we know that we are each way more than what our Labels connote.
- We engage the Community and Tribes of Humankind, both IRL and virtually, bringing together the best of Old + New School (Communities, Media, Platforms, Perspective, Wisdom, Consciousness) by creating safe spaces where we enable, promote, and celebrate personal expression and conversations around many of the most divisive cultural subjects of our time that are completely intertwined with labels: Mental Health, Gender/Sexual identity, Race and Gender Relations, Vaccines, Politics…and beyond.
- We are raising the bar on conversations, welcoming the opportunity to host, and hold the space for, conversations that we all simultaneously know we need to have and shy/run away from (yes, that Paradox thing always) on sometimes uncomfortable subjects.
- We open up perspectives, and increase compassion and empathy, connecting a psychographic, not a demographic, around a consciousness and values that are intergenerational.
- We give voice to those who have much to say, wisdom to share. Some of us who have felt – for whatever our particular reasons – that we needed to do things like diminish or shut down our voices, lower our bar, disconnect from our intuition or clarity…maybe we felt separate from ourselves or others…and/or who have been diagnosed “as” something (or not)…or, felt that we didn’t belong, or were not seen/heard/gotten/understood. Stuff like that. People like Us.
