Deborah Goodwin
Deborah’s an Urbanworld Grand Jury Prize winner, Best Screenplay, for her darkly comic family saga, Cherry’s, developed in the Film Independent Screenwriting and Producing Labs. She has written for the cult favorite horror anthology series Tales From The Cryptkeeper. Best known for her horror fable, Vampires in Venice and her action/crime drama, The Pastor,Deborah is the writer/creator of original series Justine To A Fault, developed with BRIC TV.

She co-wrote and produced, Snaeland, nominated for the Prix Sauvage, Best Feature Film, set and shot, on location in Iceland and Berlin. Deborah’s scripts have won or placed highly with: Atlanta Film Festival, IFP Emerging Narrative, Hedgebrook, Made in New York Film Financing, Stowe Story Labs, ISA’s Top 100 Genre: Historic/Drama, Sundance Episodic, ScreenCraft Drama. Deborah’s a former NBC Diversity Showcase and ABC Discovers Talent Guest Director. She currently serves as an adjunct Screenwriting Lecturer in the Film Department at Brooklyn College, Tisch/NYU/Open Arts and as a Sundance Institute’s Co//ab screenwriting Lead Instructor. Deborah’s audio series Fear, A Love Story, has been released on all platforms (Apple, Stitcher, iHeart, Amazon, Spotify).
